Who is eligible?

Five grants of up to £500 will be available for individuals between the ages of 11 and 18, living in West Yorkshire, who have a talent in either the performing arts (including drama, singing, instrumental music and dance.) or languages (including cultural immersion) and can demonstrate that their personal circumstances prevent them from fully developing their skills.

The fund is also open for Leeds-based community groups who provide activities for talented young people meeting the criteria above. They can apply for one of seven grants of up to £1,500.

When should I apply?

The fund opens for applications annually on the 7th of January and the deadline will be March 1st.

Decisions will be taken by members of a nominated panel and all applicants will be notified of the results.

How should I apply?

There are separate application forms for individuals and for groups. They can be found at www.leedscf.org.uk/grant-making.

Applications will need to be approved by a teacher or other responsible person and will not be given directly by the individual themselves.
